Telling the story of early Poruguese pioneer Joe Silvey and his First Nations wives, this artwork is a celebration by both communities of their ancestries. Clive Grout was responsible for negotiating approvals for the location within Stanley Park (at the site of an ancient village where Joe Silvey lived for a time) and managing the site planning and artwork installation.
